One of my fondest memories of Gem, and an enduring reminder of her incredibly caring and compassionate nature, was when she gave my husband Simon and I a little guide dog mascot to watch over us during a year of travelling in 2011-2012. We took many photos along the way with the little dog, so that she could share vicariously in the adventures that she too would so have loved to have.

This is one of my favourites and a setting which conveys a real sense of peace and tranquillity. I hope that you’ve now found such a beautiful place in which to rest, dearest Gem. You’ll be forever in my thoughts when I look back upon those photos xxx
