I first met Gemma through her brother James, and it was around 2007. I remember being really nervous because James always spoke of her and I really wanted her to like me. however, her warmth and light in her eyes were so welcoming and she was so very kind and it was like we had known each other for years. From that moment I knew we would be great friends forever. we used to write to each other, I committed to writing to her once a month one year and it was so rewarding. her smile glowed and she was always so understanding and interested in everything. 

I went up to stay in Knaresborough a couple of times to visit her up there. we would sped the days watching girlie movies, listening to music, and reading girlie mags. We did facials and makeovers and manicures, she even let me wash her hair. Gemma I believe that you were an angel in life and now you are one with the heavenly realms with Grandpa and Grandma and Sammy. You are free from all pain and while you have left such an enormous Gemma sized gap in my heart,  I know you are still glowing and looking out for us all, as always. I will be eternally thankful for you and having you in my life... Never forgotten...your strength helped me be stronger. I love you.
