Dearest Gems. I am so grateful that you've been part of my life. Your capacity for forgiveness, willingness to see the good in people, strength in the face of so much adversity, and incredible selflessness are just some of the qualities I've admired and loved in you. Thank you for trusting me, for sharing your highs and lows, as well as your hopes and fears, with me over the years, and for allowing me to share mine with you. You battled with so much for so long and, although I'll miss you terribly, you deserve to be free from pain and fear. I will always wish I could hold you one more time. Rest in peace my brave and beautiful friend.
